Ceramic FAQ's

What is your damaged goods policy? / How do I report a damaged good?

Damaged goods must be reported to Tiny Arms Ceramics within 48 hours of the delivery date for a refund to be issued.

Shipping cost will not be refunded.

A photo of the damaged piece, along with the box and packaging with all labels visible is required to be sent to Tiny Arms Ceramics with the report. (Email to Kate@tinyarmscoffee.com)

Damages outside of the 2 day limit will not be refunded as time sensitive insurance claims will be expired.

What is your return policy?

All sales are final and cannot be returned. I am unable to accept returns for items that you simply don’t like. When buying from Tiny Arms there is an understanding that each piece is unique with handmade qualities. With that comes tiny wobbles and imperfections that make each piece perfect.

If a piece arrives broken or damaged I am able to do a replacement or refund. You must send photos of the damage and packaging within 48 hours of arrival. I will do my best to replace the item or give you a refund. Shipping will not be refunded.

How do I care for my Tiny Arms item?

All items sold by Tiny Arms Ceramics are food safe.

Wares made of solely ceramic are microwave and dishwasher safe--no hand washing is necessary although it is recommended.

I do my best to provide my customers with the best quality pieces that I can offer. If you have a question about the care or safety of your item, please contact me (kate@tinyarmscoffee.com) and I would be happy to discuss it with you!

How often do you update your shop?

As the single maker of Tiny Arms, I try my best to continually come up with new products, and redevelop old ideas. I love to hear from customers with requests, but I cannot always do it all. I currently do not have a timeline for shop updates , but am aiming for monthly updates.

If you have something you want to see in a future update, let me know! I'll see what I can do!

How quickly should I expect my package to arrive?

Ready To Ship Orders:

Please allow 5-7 business days for orders to be prepared. I try to get things out as soon as possible. All shipments will be shipped with USPS. Once shipped orders will take 5-6 business days to arrive (shipping time varies based on location)

Custom Orders:

I am currently only accepting custom orders for wholesale clients. I can only physically fill so many requests for custom work, and they will be accepted on a case by case basis. Custom items tend to be shipped within 4-6 weeks after an order is placed. Ceramics need time to dry and custom pieces can take some time to get right. Also ceramics are unpredictable and sometimes things don’t go as planned, but I'll make sure to keep you updated on the progress of your pieces.

What is a “Misfit” product?

Misfits are pieces that don’t meet aesthetic quality standards regular Tiny Arms sale. The imperfections in the finish do not affect the integrity of the piece.

Many makers throw these pieces out, but with sustainable practices being the core of my business I prefer to offer them at reduced rates to reflect their visual impurities.

Giving room for imperfections allows for more accessibility for my customers and a less-wasteful practice.

Examples of seconds:

  1. A cup with some pin holing in glaze. These tiny holes are not sharp and do not cause any issues when using the product.

  2. A dish with a small “S” fracture in the base or a teapot with a surface fracture by the spout. This fracture does not go entirely through or interfere with the integrity of the pieces’ function.

What is a “Sample” product?

Samples are pieces that I'm exploring with. It may be the first attempt at something new or something that I have made a very limited quantity of.

By purchasing Tiny Arms Ceramics products you are acknowledging that:

• Tiny Arms there is an understanding that each piece is unique with handmade qualities. With that comes tiny wobbles and imperfections that make each piece perfect. While each piece will have a similar form and clay, you may see differences in applications of glaze and slight variations in size.

• All wares are made with attention to detail including remnants of the hand at work and intentional “imperfections”.

• All items are food safe.

• All items are dishwasher and microwave friendly, unless otherwise noted.

 • Function is tested and unless otherwise noted (misfits), this piece will function completely as it is advertised.

• Tiny Arms Ceramics is a one woman business, please keep in mind that returns cannot be made for any reason beyond receiving the wrong product.

Lastly,

Please remember to be kind when purchasing handmade. These items are loved from the moment they are made to the second they’re sent out to you. You are bringing a piece of Tiny Arms Ceramics and myself into your home.
